Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL: An allylaminoethyl-azole represented by formula I [wherein X is N or CH; R is H or 1-5C alkyl; and Ar and Ar' are phenyl (which may be substituted with one or more 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy, nitro or halogen), thienyl (which may be substituted with halogen) or naphthyl (which may be substituted with halogen)] and an acid addition salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: 1-[2-(2,4-Dichlorophenyl)-(3-phenylallylamino)]ethyl-1H-imidazole.
USE: A mildewide and fungicide effective for the prophylaxis of pathogenic fungi.
PREPARATION: A compound of formula II, for example, is reacted with a compound of formula III to give a compound of formula IV, which is reduced in the presence of an inert diluent to obtain a compound of formula I.
