Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a new antibiotic SF 2768 substance by an Actinomyces- culturing method.
CONSTITUTION: Streptomyces SP SF2768 strain is cultured in a medium containing nutrients capable of being utilized by ordinary microorganisms, and the objective antibiotic is isolated from the obtained culture product by a solvent extraction method, silica gel column chromatography, gel filtration method, etc. The new antibiotic SF2768 has a molecular formula: C16H24N4O4 and is represented by the formula.
