Abstract:
To obtain a new protein for inducing apoptosis at an embryonic stage and a gene encoding the same.
This apoptosis-inducing protein comprises (a) a protein composed of a specific amino acid sequence or (b) a protein which is composed of an amino acid sequence which is varied by substitution, deletion or addition of one or a plurality of amino acids in the amino acid sequence represented by (a) and has apoptosis-inducing activity. This gene has another specific base sequence encoding the protein.
