Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide Bacillus bacteria NKF200 capable of producing poly(3- hydroxybutyric acid), etc., excellent in handleability and preservability.
CONSTITUTION: The Bacilius bacteria NKF200 (FERM P-12883) capable of producing. poly(3-hydroxybutyric acid) and derivatives therefrom. It is preferable that the above bacteria be cultured in an aerobic aqueous medium and the poly(3-hydroxybutyric acid) and derivatives therefrom gathered from the cultured product.
