Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new benzotriazole, an intermediate for producing the same, and a medicine composition containing the same.
SOLUTION: A benzotriazole represented by formula (I), e.g. 6-[5-(4-fluoro-3- methylphenyl)-3H-imidazol-4-yl]-1-isopropyl-1H-benzotriazole, is provided. This compound is a strong inhibitor of MAP kinase, preferably p38 kinase, and is useful for curing inflammation, osteoarthritis, chronic rheumatism, cancer, reperfusion or ischemia in attack or heart attack, autoimmune disease, and other disorders.
