To obtain a new compounds B-5354a, B-5354b and B-5354c useful for an antiarteriosclerotic agent, an antidiabetic agent, an antithrombotic agent, an antiinflammatory agent, an immunosuppressive agent, an anticancer agent, a metastasis control agent and a preventive or treating agent of restenosis after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.
The new compounds B-5354a, B-5354b and B-5354c are represented by formula I to III. Further, the B-5354a of formula I has following physicochemical properties: the property is a white powder; the solubility is soluble in an organic solvent such as methanol, ethyl acetate, chloroform and dimethylsulfoxide; the molecular formula is C19H29NO3; the molecular weight is 319; the ultraviolet absorption spectrum in the methanol is 205nm ( 16100), 229nm ( 10200), 281-nm ( 9200), 309nm ( 12700). The compounds of formula I, II and III are obtained by culturing a bacteria [SANK 71896 strain (FERM BP-5356)] having activities for producing the B-5343a, the B-5343b and the B-5343c and collecting the B-5343a, the B-5343b and the B-5343c therefrom.
