Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the subject crystal giving particularly excellent properties such as whiteness and preserving stability of texture and preserving stability of image in the case used as a color coupler for a coloring recording material such as a pressure sensitive recording material or a heat-sensitive recording material.
CONSTITUTION: A new crystal of 2-(2,6-dimethylanilino)-3-methyl-6- diethylaminofluoran characterized by a powder X-ray diffraction pattern exhibiting characteristic peaks at diffraction angles (2θ±0.2°) of 8.9°, 11.9°, 15.0°, 16.3°, 18.8° and 21.4° by a powder X-ray diffraction method using Cu-Kα ray.
