Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new crystalline cephem acid addition salt with long half- life in the blood and excellent medicinal sustainability, useful for the treatment of bacterial infectious diseases.
SOLUTION: This compound is shown by formula I [(n) is 1 or 2; (m) is 0.4-2.6; X is an anion of formula II, formula III or the like], e.g. cephyquinom-6- hydroxy-1-naphthoate. The compound of formula I is obtained, for example, by reaction of cephembetaine of formula IV with a carboxylic acid of formula II or formula III.
