Abstract:
To provide a chlorine-free dewaxing assistant for a solvent dewaxing method containing a step to cool at a cooling rate of ≥30°C/min, free from the unavoidable short points of dewaxing assistants (chlorine-content and corrosion by decomposition product) and effective even for heavy wax-containing hydrocarbon oil.
The dewaxing assistant to be added to the wax-containing hydrocarbon oil is a mixture of two or more kinds of polyalkyl(meth)acrylates having different heat-generation starting temperatures when cooled at a cooling rate of 30°C/min.
