To efficiently transfer an exogenote into a cell by preparing a complex of a DNA construct containing a DNA sequence for integration into a chromosome with a synthetic lipid and lectin or an antibody and bringing the resultant complex into contact with a receptor cell.
A complex comprising a DNA construct for homologous recombination containing a DNA sequence to be integrated into a chromosome such as a nonhuman animal, a synthetic lipid and lectin or an antibody bound to the cell surface of a receptor cell such as an embryonic stem cell of the nonhuman animal is prepared and the resultant complex is then brought into contact with a receptor cell such as the embryonic stem cell to thereby efficiently transfer an exogenote into the receptor cell. Furthermore, the embryonic stem cell in which the DNA sequence is integrated into the chromosome is transplanted into an inner cavity of a fertilized egg. The resultant fertilized egg is then transplanted into the uterus of the nonhuman animal in a pseudopregnant state. Thereby, a nontransgenic animal can be prepared.
