To obtain a new nucleotide useful for treatment, diagnosis, etc. of chronic renal insufficiency, inflammatory diseases, myocarial ischemia, cancer, arthritis, etc., consisting of a nucleic acid having a sequence highly identical with the sequence encoding HOEFC11 polypeptide having a specific amino acid sequence.
This new polynucleotide is an isolated polynucleotide having a nucleotide sequence at least 80%, over the whole length, identical with the nucleotide sequence encoding HOEFC11 polypeptide having the amino acid sequence expressed by the formula, or a new polynucleotide having the nucleotide sequence complementary to the above isolate polynucleotide, and useful for design of treatment protocols and diagnosis for chronic renal insufficiency, inflammatory diseases, myocardial ischemia, cancer, rhematoid arthritis, cirrhotic hepatic diseases. This objective polynucleotide is obtained by performing standard cloning and screening of cDNA library originated from mRNAs in the human placental cells, using expression sequence tag analysis.
