PURPOSE: To obtain a new heterocyclic compound exhibiting highly insecticidal activity against cotton aphid and green rice leafhopper resistant to organic phosphorous agent$ and carbamate agent.
CONSTITUTION: A compound shown by formula I [Z is replaceable N-containing 5- to 6-membered hetero ring; X is C, N, S or O; (i) when X=C, Y-X is group of formula II or formula III, (ii) when X=N, Y-X is group of formula IV or formula V, (iii) when X=S, Y-X is group of formula VI to formula VIIIa and (iv) when X=O, Y-X is group of formula IX or formula X; R2 is electron attractive group (except NO2 and CN); R1 and R3 to R29 are H, halogen or replaceable alkyl] or its salt such as 1-(2-chloro-5-pyridylmethyl)-2-(pyrazinecarbonylimino)-1, 2-dihydropyridine. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound of formula XI with a compound of formula XII in an inert solvent under heating at the boiling point of the solvent and reacting the prepared compound of formula XIII with a compound of formula R2-Hal.
