Abstract:
To provide a new IP3 receptor binding protein giving an indicator effective for the detection and determination of IP3 and provide a method for the detection and/or determination of IP3 by using the protein.
An IP3 receptor binding protein, especially a new IP3 receptor binding protein IRBIT interacting with the IP3 receptor and having the interaction controlled by IP3 has been identified. The IRBIT is releasable from the IP3 receptor by IP3 of physiological concentration. Accordingly, the IRBIT is useful as an indicator for the detection of IP3 by FRET method, etc.
