To obtain the subject composition containing a vinyltrialkoxysilane and a dialkyltin oxide as indispensable ingredients, low in toxicity, advantageous in treatment time, having a high reactivity achieving a rapid curing time and a high dimensional stability of a vulcanized carving mold material, and useful in the field of dentistry.
This catalyst/cross-linking agent composition contains (A) at least one vinyltrialkoxysilane as a cross-linking agent, (B) at least one dialkyltin oxide as a catalyst, (C) an organic acid for adjusting a reaction time as necessary, (D) an inert solvent as necessary and (E) a dye or a coloring pigment as necessary. Further, it is preferable to blend in a ratio of 100 pts.wt. component (A), 1-100 pts.wt. component (B), 0-40 pts.wt. component (C), 1-100 pts.wt. component (D) and 1-10 pts.wt. component (E), and also preferable to blend (F) 1-300 pts.wt. filler, paraffine, vaseline, wax or polydiorganosiloxane. This composition is obtained by reacting the components (A) with (B) at an approximately 0-200°C.
