To obtain a new monoclonal antibody (or its fragment) that is increased in it specificity and reproducibility by reaction with SnoN protein, can detect whether the cancerization has started or not or the level of the cancerization and is useful in immunological analysis.
This monoclonal antibody reacts with SnoN protein or a protein fragment of SnoN protein on the C-terminal side of 42 kD molecular weight. This monoclonal antibody (or its fragment) is preferably (i) reactive with highly phosphorylated SnoN protein, but unreactive with the low phosphorylated SnoN protein; (ii) reactive with low phosphorylated SnoN protein but unreactive with high-phosphorylated SnoN protein; or (iii) reactive with both of low phosphorylated and the high phosphorylated SnoN protein. Further, the immunological analysis of the SnoN protein is preferably carried out by using one or more kinds of these monoclonal antibodies.
