Abstract:
To provide pharmaceutical compositions containing IFN-beta and useful for treatments of viral infections, cancer or tumors or for immunotherapy.
This IFN-beta mutein in which phe (F), tyr (Y), trp (W) or his (H) is substituted for val (V) at position 101 of wild type IFN-beta, when numbered in accordance with the wild type IFN-beta. The mutein exhibits an antiviral activity, and is at least partially neutralized with an antibody against the wild type IFN-beta.
