Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new peptide of a linear chain state peptide having a specific sequence, having an affinity only to an Angiotensin 2 (hereinafter as AT2) receptor, not manifesting an effect to those who have a normal blood pressure and manifesting a hypotensive action to those who have a hypertension.
SOLUTION: This new peptide is a peptide having a sequence of Arg-Pro-Phe- His-Pro-Phe. The peptide can be obtained by a peptide synthesis method. The peptide can be administered in a preparation form prepared by mixing with carriers for the preparation, and it is preferable to contain ≥0.01%, more preferably 0.5-70% peptide in the preparation. Further, in the case of using as a medicine, an administration route is preferably an oral administration, and the amount of its administration is usually 0.001-1,000 mg for one time or preferably 0.01-10 mg for 1-3 times daily.
