Abstract:

To obtain a new chemical compound that has specific physical proper ties and is useful as an anticancer drug.

This physiologically active substance NF03110 is obtained by culturing a NF03110 strain of Acremonium sp. (FERM P-14936), etc., and has the following physicochemical properties: visual appearance: colorless powder; melting point: 136-139°C: molecular weight: 1423; FAB-MS: 1424 [M+H], 1422 [M-H]; solubility: readily soluble to chloroform, dimetyl sulfoxide and methanol; soluble to ethyl acetate and acetone; insoluble to water and hexane; analyses of amino acids: presence of glycine and proline at (1:1); color reaction: positive to iodine and Reidon-Smith reagent, negative to vanillin-sulfuric acid, phosphomolybdic acid, ninhydrin and Ehrlich's reagent, etc.
