Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new polymer containing a 9-oxo-9-phosphafluorene-2,7-diyl group in the main chain, and utilizable as a constituent material or the like of a light emission element; and to provide an easy and effective method for producing the polymer.
SOLUTION: The polymer containing the 9-oxo-9-phosphafluorene-2,7-diyl group in the main chain is represented by general formula [1] (wherein, R is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group which may have a substituent, or the like; Th is a thiophenediyl group which may have a substituent; and n is a natural number of ≥3). The method for producing the polymer involves subjecting a 9-oxo-9-phosphafluorene derivative represented by general formula [2] (wherein, R is the same as the above; and X is a leaving group) and having leaving groups at 2- and 7-positions, and a thiophene bisboronate compound represented by general formula [3]: (HO)2B-Th-B(OH)2---[3] (wherein, Th is the same as the above) to polycondensation reaction.
