Abstract:
To provide a new compound which is recognized as an epitope by an antibody against an Advanced Glycation End Product (AGE), to provide a method for examining a disease in which the production or accumulation of AGE participates, and to provide a method for evaluating the medicinal efficacy of a medicine for the disease.
This pyridinium derivative represented by general formula (I), and the antibody against an antigen containing the same is prepared. Further, AGE is detected by an immunolabeling assay using the antibody.
