Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A quaternary ammonium salt shown by formula I [R1 is n-or iso-1-21C alkyl or alkenyl; R2, R3, R5 and R6 are 1-6C alkyl; R4 is n-, iso-or cyclic 1-22C alkyl, alkenyl or aralkyl which may contain substituent group; n is 1-6; X is anion].

EXAMPLE: 3-{-[3-Ethoxy-1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-oxopropyl](1-oxododecyl)amino}-N,N, N-trimethyl-1-propanaminium chloride.

USE: A disinfectant having low irritation, softener, rinse base, antistatic agent, etc.

PREPARATION: A diamine shown by formula II is reacted with a maleic acid dialkyl ester shown by formula III to form a compound shown by formula IV, which is then reacted with a compound shown by formula V to give a compound shown by formula VI. This compound is reacted with a compound shown by formula VII (Y is halogen or alkyl sulfate residue) to give a compound shown by formula I.
