Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A quinolopyran-4-one-2-carboxylic acid derivative I (R1, R2 and R3 are H, 1W5C alkyl, 1W5C alkoxy, halogen, 2W6C alkoxycarbonyl, 6W10C aryl or two of the R1W3 may form a 1W3C alkylenedioxy) or its tautomer, N-methyl- glucamine salt I'.
EXAMPLE: 9-Methyl-5-hydroxyquinolo (4,3-b)pyran-4-one-2-carboxylic acid N- methyl-glucamine salt.
USE: Antiallergic remedy for asthma. It has remarkably high solubility in water, good medical efficacy and reduced toxicity.
PREPARATION: The free acid II is suspended in water and mixed with N-methylglucamine. If desired, the solution is concentrated and an organic solvent is added to deposit the salt I.
