PURPOSE: A cathode-depositable epoxy resin composition suitable as an electropaint or the like, prepared by mixing a nitrogen-containing acrylic copolymer with an amine-modified epoxy resin and a blocked polyisocyanate.
CONSTITUTION: The purpose resin composition is prepared by mixing (A) a nitrogen-containing acrylic linear copolymer containing repeating units of formulaI(wherein R1 and R2 are each H, a 1W20 C alkyl or the like) and repeating units of formula II (wherein R3 is H, methyl or the like and R4 is H, a 1W20 C alkyl or the like) with (B) an amine-modified epoxy resin prepared by replacing part or all of the epoxy groups of an epoxy compound having at least one epoxy group with a structure of formula III (wherein R7 and R8 are each H, a 1W20 C alkyl or the like) and (C) a compound prepared by blocking all or part of the isocyanate group of a polyisocyanate with an alcohol and/or an amine.
