Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound that can reduce irritation with acid and is useful in cosmetic and dermatologic fields, in addition useful for skin diseases in the fields of pharmacology and veterinary.
SOLUTION: This new compound is a salicylic acid derivative of the formula: AR-S2+AR- [S2+ is a divalent inorganic cation, preferably a cation in group IB, IIA, IIB, IIIB, IIIA and the like, for example, strontium, calcium, manganese; AR is a group of formula I (R5 is a 3-15C aliphatic chain)], typically 5-n- octanoylsalicylate salt. This compound is prepared by reaction of a salicylic acid derivative of formula II with a compound containing a divalent inorganic cation as bicarbonate salt, sulfate salt, glycerosulfate salt, borate salt or chloride salt in the presence of a solvent as a 1-12C alcohol, hydrocarbon, ketone, water, ether, amine, preferably isopropanol).
