Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound having an NPY antagonistic action and useful as an agent for the treatment of various diseases relating to NPY, e.g. diseases of circulatory organs such as hypertension, renal diseases, cardiac diseases, vasospasm and arteriosclerosis, central nervous diseases such as hyperorexia, depression, anxiety, spasm, epilepsy, dementia, pain, alcohol dependency and abstinence symptom caused by the interruption of drug, metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, hormonal abnormality, hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipemia, disorder of sexual and genital organs, digestive tract diseases such as dyskinesia of digestive tracts, respiratory diseases, inflammation and glaucoma.
SOLUTION: The compound is expressed by general formula (I) [Ar1 is a (substituted)aryl or heteroaryl; (n) is 0 or 1; T, U, V and W are each independently a (substituted)methine or nitrogen atom provided that at least 2 groups are methine; X is methine group or nitrogen atom; and Y is a (substituted)imino group or oxygen atom].
