To produce the subject new substance comprising a substance FTD-0668 produced by a mold Gliocladium sp. FTD-0668 and useful as a readily decomposable insecticide, or the like, having high safety, low toxicity and high selectivity.
This new substance FTD-0668 is represented by the formula and is useful as a readily decomposable insecticide, or the like, having high safety, low toxicity and high selectivity. The new substance is produced by culturing a microorganism belonging to a mold and having the ability to produce the substance FTD-0668 [e.g. a strain of Gliocladium sp. FTD-0668 (FERM P-16626)] in a culture medium, accumulating the substance FTD-0668 in the resultant cultured product and collecting the substance FTD-0668 from the cultured product.
