NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [wherein R1 is a 1-4C alkyl or (substituted) phenyl; R2 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; A is CHOR3 (wherein R3 is H, a 1-4C alkyl, phenyl, etc.), C=O, C=S or C=N-OR4 (wherein R4 is H or CH3); B is methylene or ethylene on m- or p-position; and E is carboxyl, phosphoric acid group, sulfonic acid group. tetrazol-5-yl, etc.].
EXAMPLE: 4-(1-Oxo-2-phenylsulfonamide-ehtyl)phenylacetic acid.
USE: A platelet aggregation inhibitor, a tumor metastasis inhibitor, an arterial sclerosis inhibitor, etc.
PREPARATION: A compound of formula II (wherein X is a leaving group, preferably Cl, Br or I; and Y is a protecting group separable by hydrolysis, etc.), is reacted with a compound of formula III, followed by separation of the protecting group. The resultant compound is reacted with a compound of formula IV to give the compound of the formula I.
