Abstract:
To develop an α-olefinic polymerization catalyst with high catalytic activity, which allows production of an α-olefin/polar group-containing monomer copolymer which is high in both molecular weight and comonomer content.
For example, a [di(2-isopropylphenyl)](2-sulfonyl-3-trimethylsilylphenyl)phosphine compound which is obtained by silylating [di(2-isopropylphenyl)](2-sulfonylphenyl)phosphine, and a polymerization catalyst in which the compound is coordinated in a transition metal such as palladium are provided.
