Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A tricyclic compound shown by formula I [R1 to R3 are lower alkyl or R1 and R2 or R2 and R3 are bonded to together form lower alkylene; Z is O, S, NR4 (R4 is lower alkyl), carbonyl or CHOR5 (R5 is H or lower alkyl); (n) is 1 or 2 with the proviso that a case where Z is O and n=1 is omitted].
EXAMPLE: 6,7-Dihydro-3,9-dimethoxy-6-methyl-1,2,10,11-dimethylenedioxy-5H- dibenzo[c,e]azepine.
USE: A treating agent of hepatic diseases.
PREPARATION: For example, a bishaloalkylbiphenyl compound shown by formula II (X is Cl, Br or I) is subjected to ring formation reaction by condensation with a lower alkylamine, a metal hydroxide or a metal sulfide to give the objective compound wherein Z is NR4, O or S in the formula I.
