A broadcast program transmission system for reading and transmitting each program material recorded in a video server according to the playlist, is characterized in that when transmitting material that does not exist in the playlist, a transmission operating device adds a blank event column designating only a device number of a transmitting device for transmitting the material on a display screen of the playlist, performs a transmission start operation to the added blank event column, and control the transmitting device so as to select and transmit a reproduced output from the transmitting device.
