To provide a newspaper stocker which can accumulate used newspapers, and at the same time, facilitates the binding of used newspapers by compressing used newspapers within the stocker without taking out used newspapers from the stocker even by a person who is unfamiliar to the binding of used newspapers, or a person having a weak muscle force.

This newspaper stocker is equipped with a bottom plate, side plates, a reverse movement preventing section which is formed on the side plates, and a newspaper compressing plate. The newspaper stocker is also equipped with a newspaper binding string arranged in advance on the internal side of a newspaper stock section formed by the bottom plate and the side plates, and an engaging section attached to the newspaper compressing plate and engaged with the reverse preventing section.
