To store newspapers/fliers or the like in a stack, and to bind the stack as it is by the use of a binding string, to set on a string receiving section so that two short-string segments cross one long string segment.
There is constituted the stocker for binding newspapers/fliers or the like by the use of a string so that the two short-string segments cross the one long string segment is formed of a material such as plastic, metal or wood, and formed so that its top and part of its front and back are opened. The bottom plate thereof has a recess in the middle for extending the string 6 and two string-receiving projections outside the recess. Each of the side plates 5 has a string fixing notch 15 in its upper part and two string-receiving projections at both sides of the notch. Furthermore, two string-receiving projections are formed at each of the front and back sides. By using the binding string set in advance by being hooked around the projections from the middle, a stack of newspapers/fliers is bound as it is so that the two short-string segments cross the one long string segment.
