To provide a newspaper stocking box wherein newspapers can be baled from the rear side with a string while newspapers are placed in the box, passing of the string can be easily performed, and in addition, the newspapers can be baled without collapsing.
Guides (4) which become passages for a stretchable string- passing bar (7) being used for passing the string (8) for tying are provided on the surface of the bottom surface base (2) of the stocking box. In this case, the guides (4) are provided in a manner to cross at a right angle at the center of the bottom surface base (2). Then, at four corners of the cross, guide pins (5) for the prevention of collapsing, which erect and have an equal length, are provided. For side plates (3) which erect on the bottom surface base (2), a groove (6) for engaging the string is respectively provided at two locations each on the upper sections. In order to facilitate the work, the side plates (3) are provided on a diagonal line. Thus, by using the stretchable string-passing bar (7) which is used while being stretched when the string is passed, and used while being contracted when the string is tied, newspapers can be quickly and easily tied without collapsing.
