Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a two-function conveying foot to be included in a material treating apparatus capable of automatically treating previously impregnated composite material.
CONSTITUTION: A foot in comprised of a solenoid valve 44 which acts alternately to give vacuum force in order to hold and keep previously impregnated composite material at its adhering surface and mechanical force due to pressure in order to detach and release the material from its adhering surface, a means of connecting alternately the valve with vacuum source and with pressure source by ways for fluid, and a computer control system 50 to regulate the means of connecting the fluid alternately so as to cause the valve to make two-function action of on-off conditions.
