Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3837559
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coated nickel-base superalloy at a low cost which has superior mechanical strength, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance at a high temperature, and is suitable for a jet engine, a gas turbine blade and a turbine vane, which are exposed to a high temperature and high stress.
SOLUTION: The nickel-base superalloy has an alloy coating consisting of iridium and platinum formed on its surface, and further has an aluminum layer diffusion-metallized on the alloy coating.
