Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce an Ni based superalloy excellent in resistance to high temp. stress fracture and creep by incorporating a specified ratio of Co, Cr, Mo, Al, Ti, Nb, B, C, Zr and Hf into Ni.

CONSTITUTION: This Ni base alloy contains, by weight, about 10.7-19.2% Co, about 10.8-14.0% Cr, about 3.5-5.8% Mo, about 1.9-4.7% Al, about 3.3-5.6% Ti, about 0.9-2.7% Nb, about 0.005-0.042% B, about 0.010-0.062% C, about 0-0.062% Zr, about 0-0.032% Hf and the balance essentially Ni. After this alloy is subjected to solution treatment for enough time so that a γ' phase is essentially and perfectly melted to a γ matrix at a temp. higher than the γ' solving temp. and lower than the initial melting temp, the alloy is cooled at a speed suitable for preventing generation of crack, and further, is subjected to again treatment at the temp. enough to give a micro structure stable for used in high temp. for enough time.
