Abstract:
To provide a niobium-aluminum precursor wire having characteristics of expressing flexibility, securing a long single line length, etc., a twisted wire thereof, a superconducting wire and a superconducting twisted wire.SOLUTION: A niobium-aluminum precursor wire includes: a rod-like winding core 5 composed of stabilized copper, or stabilized copper and non-stabilized copper; a laminate 3 to be wrapped around the winding core 5, obtained by laminating an aluminum foil and a niobium foil; and a coated body (copper pipe 1) covering a periphery of the laminate and composed of stabilized copper, or stabilized copper and non-stabilized copper. A volume ratio of the stabilized copper contained in the niobium-aluminum precursor wire, to the non-stabilized copper is 0.5 to 2.0. A volume proportion of the stabilized copper contained in arranging the winding core and the coated body is in a prescribed range. Through applying a heat treatment to the precursor wire and the twisted wire, a superconducting wire and a superconducting twisted wire can be obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
