To provide an improved worsted card having a reciprocating nipper frame which has a lower nipper plate forming nip points (KO, KE) in a nip lip region and between the lower nipper plate and an upper nipper plate movably supported in the nipper frame, equipped with a means set in a nipper device and supplying a fiber material (W) when sending out and/or returning the nipper device, having a tear cylinder pair behind the nipper device and supported on a machine frame and equipped with a rotating comb which is set below the lower nipper plate and rotatably supported and cards out fiber beard (FB), and thereby, to enable to adjust the carding ratio in the minimum and at a constant Ecartement (E).
The length (L1 and L2) of the fiber beard (FB) determined against a comb segment of the rotating comb is adjustable without changing the space E (Ecartement) between the lower nipper plate and a nip line (K) of the tear cylinder pair in a selected supply method.
