Abstract:

New nitroaminophenols, the process for preparation thereof and their use in dyeing keratinous fibres, and new intermediate nitroaminobenzenes and their use in dyeing keratinous fibres. The invention relates to a nitroaminophenol of formula: (I) in which Z denotes -CH2W, W denoting H, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl, (C1-C3), alkoxy(C1-C6)alkyl or (C1-C3)hydroxyalkoxy(C1-C6)-alkyl and R denotes H, (C1-C6)alkyl, C1-C6 hy-droxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl or (C1-C3)-alkoxy(C1-C6)alkyl, and the process for preparation thereof, and the intermediate compound of formula: (II') in which R' denotes C1-C6 hydroxyalkyl, C2-C6 polyhydroxyalkyl or (C1-C3)alkoxy(C1-C6)alkyl and the process for preparation thereof. The dyes of formulae (I) and (II') can be used in direct dyeing of keratinous fibres, in particular, human hair.
