Nitrodiaryl sulfoxides of the formula (I), wherein R<1> is halogen or C1-6 alkoxy, R<2> is hydrogen, halogen, C1-6 alkyl, C1-6 alkoxy, or phenyl or phenylthio optionally substituted by one or more identical or different halogen(s) and/or nitro group(s), show pesticidal activity and are of particular use in human and veterinary therapy, preferably as anthelmintics.
