Title:
NITROGEN OXIDE REDUCTION SYSTEM OF DIESEL ENGINE AND NITROGEN GAS GENERATION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3504914
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nitrogen oxide reduction system for diesel engines that can reduce nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas of diesel engines and comply with regulations.
SOLUTION: A diesel-engine intake passage 112 carries a mixer 120 to which a nitrogen gas generation system 130 supplies a given amount of pressurized nitrogen gas with a prescribed concentration or above to the amount of intake air. The nitrogen gas generation system 130 comprises a compressor 132 for compressing air, a first accumulator tank 135 for accumulating the compressed air at a given pressure, and a nitrogen gas generator 140 having a membrane unit with a plurality of hollow yarn membranes for selectively filtering out oxygen in the compressed air from the first accumulator tank 135 and then delivering nitrogen gas of the prescribed concentration or above.
