Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the copolymer being excellent in heat resistance and chemical resistance, having a low degree of crystallinity and giving derivatives useful for various uses by using a specified nitrogenous fluorocarbon and a specified ethylenically unsaturated compound as the constituent monomers.

CONSTITUTION: A nitrogenous fluorocarbon of the formula (wherein m is 0 or 1; n is 0-10; and R1 and R2 are each 1-5C linear perfluoroalkyl, or perfluoro groups which, together with the N atom, form a ring structure) and at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound selected from among tetrafluoroethylene, vinylidene fluoride, vinyl fluoride, chlorotrifluoroethylene and ethylene are used as the constituent monomers. It is desirable that the melt viscosity of this copolymer is about 100000 to about 5000000 P, and that its molecular weight is about 5000 to 150000.
