Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new compound as a new starburst-type amine with high heat resistance and low ionization potential.
SOLUTION: This new compound is a compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are each H or an alkyl), e.g. N,N,N',N'-{4,4',4",4'''-tetras[N-(2-methylphenyl)-N- phenylamino]phenyl}-1,4-diaminobenzene. The compound of formula I (for example, when R is H or a 3-methyl group) is obtained by reaction of an N,N,N',N '-(4,4',4",4'''-tetrakisarylaminophenyl)-1,4-diaminobenzene with a cyclohexanone compound of formula III (e.g. cyclohexanone, methylcyclohexanone) in the presence of a hydrogen-transfer catalyst.
