Title:
NO-CRIMP SHORT-CUT BINDER FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3532677
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain no-crimp short-cut binder fiber which contains ε-caprolactone copolyester having a crystal melting point of a specific level or higher as a binder component and has a small thermal shrinkage as well as excellent dimensional stability at the time of thermal adhesion, and is useful for wet paper making.
SOLUTION: This binder fiber contains, as a binder component, ε-caprolactone copolyester such as that obtained by copolymerizing a unit of ethylene terephthalate and/or a unit of butylene terephthalate with 3-80mol% of a unit of ε-caprolactone. The binder component has a crystal melting point of 100°C or higher, and this binder fiber has a boiling water shrikage of 3% or smaller.
