Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noble metal adsorbent capable of separating and recovering noble metals more efficiently than before by using a phenol-based compound which is a component contained abundantly in natural phenol as a raw material and to provide a method for recovering noble metals from a solution containing noble metals such as gold using the adsorbent.SOLUTION: There is provided an adsorbent for recovering noble metals, in which the adsorbent includes a phenol resin obtained by reacting a phenol-based compound (a), an aldehyde source (b) and a reaction catalyst (C), the phenol-based compound (a) has a plurality of hydroxyl groups on a benzene ring and noble metals are recovered by bringing a liquid containing noble metals and a noble metal adsorbent into contact with each other.
