PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for separating and recovering a noble metal from an aqueous solution containing a noble metal such as gold, palladium and platinum.SOLUTION: The invention relates to: a noble metal recovery agent being a recovery agent for recovering a noble metal in an aqueous solution, and in which, characterized, said recovery agent is one obtained by subjecting biomass to a compression and heat treatment; and a method for recovering noble metal including bringing a noble metal-containing liquid and the inventive noble metal recovery agent into contact with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: None
