Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simply eliminate a dark current and a noise component by using a capacitor to store a signal for a photoelectric conversion element and to invert its polarity and feeding back the signal of the inverted polarity to an input section of the said photoelectric conversion element. CONSTITUTION:An output signal VS+VN including noise VN is fed to the input of a capacitor C1 via a transistor(TR) M2 from a photoelectric conversion element S and stored therein. Then the level is set to a VRR, by a switch circuit TR M4. After a level VGN of an output of the capacitor C1 is applied by a switching circuit TR M3, the output is interrupted to make the output in float ing. Then the output level is changed from VGN into VRR-(VS+VN-VGN). In this case, the output level includes the component of -(VS+VN) being the inversion of the polarity of the output signal. Then the output of the capacitor C1 is fed back to a branch point (a) and the level of the input of the element S reaches VRR-(VS+VN-VGN). The output of the element S has noise VN, then the output level reaches VRR-(VS-VGN) and the noise component VN is eliminated from the output signal.
