Title:
NOISE REDUCER IN INSPECTION SPACE OF MAGNET OF MAGNETIC RESONANCE DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02143509
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the noise level in a patient inspection space in the magnetic field of a magnet by providing the end sections of a shield pipe which are supported by a support pipe and made of a synthetic material, the central section of the shield pipe which has a diameter smaller than those of the end sections, is coaxially supported by the end sections, and is made of a synthetic plastic material, and elastic transition sections between the end sections and the central section. CONSTITUTION: A noise reducing device is composed of a support pipe 5, end sections 5a and 5b of which in the axial direction are supported on the floor through an adjustable device on a support frame 7 at outside of a magnet 3 and which is made of a glass-reinforced plastic. Therefore, the pipe 5 passes through the cavity 9 of the magnet 3 without coming into mechanical contact with the magnet 3. The end sections 11a and 11b of a shield pipe are provided in the end sections 5a and 5b of the pipe 5. Annular discoidal rubber flanges 13 connected to the end sections of the central part 16 of the shield pipe in the axial direction are provided in the areas of the inner edge sections 14 of the end sections 11a and 11b positioned in the magnet 3. The end sections 11a and 11b and central part 16 of the shield pipe are surrounded by a radio frequency shield 20, composed of a brass wire net.
