Abstract:
To reduce the noise by the compressing/decompressing process of FM signals and restrict the distortion of signals in an FM broadcast receiver.
A compressing-expanding unit for compressing/decompressing a difference signal D(z) transmits a compression difference signal Dc(z) with a frequency-modulated multiplex signal to reduce the noise of a frequency modulated signal. It performs a linear phase multi-band compression and/or a linear phase multi-band decompression.
