Abstract:
To provide a new noise reduction device that reduces discomfort of noise entering a vehicle compartment.SOLUTION: A noise reduction device 10 includes: a sound reproduction unit 12 that reproduces sound to a passenger compartment based on reproduced sound signals; a vibration generation unit 16 that causes passenger compartment components to function as loudspeakers; and a vibration control unit 14 that controls the vibration generation unit 16 to cause the passenger compartment components to generate mitigation sound from the passenger compartment components to mitigate noise by vibrating the passenger compartment components. The vibration control unit 14 generates the mitigation sound so that, when a sound reproduction unit 13 is reproducing reproduced sound, sound pressure of some frequency components that overlap with the frequency components of the reproduced sound, of propagation noise propagating in the passenger compartment through the passenger compartment components is increased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
